> > > A Delight of an MP3 Player in Design, Features, AND... Sound
I hope this review and video are helpful - This new breed of MP3 Players is awesome on many levels.1-- Refreshing design, solid metal casing, User friendly. 2.2"x2.6"x0.7" , 3.5oz/100gr2-- A pure, balanced, clear and very enjoyable sound. Can get very loud too3-- The included headset is surprisingly good and I use it daily on my commute4-- It only takes a few minutes to learn to operate5-- Long battery life and a sharp+bright screen (not a touch screen)6-- Buttons require actual pressing and are not virtual which is great. It prevents accidental presses and you can tell where buttons are by feel alone.7-- I'll be using it mostly for the excellent FM Radio. Auto-search found more stations than my FM-only player.8-- Videos are very watchable on this unit. eBooks not so much unless it's for a kid just starting to read maybeA couple of issues:- When setting date and time, I could not move from the Day to Month or Year, or from Hour to Minute- When watching Video it didn't pair to an external BT speaker (had to use a corded headset to listen)

Does not play FLAC, audio over bluetooth is horrible, audio in general is bad.
I was really excited to order this product. I thought I was getting a great little portable unit I could use as a secondary MP3 player with the added bonus of bluetooth and the ability to play lossless files such as FLAC.Let's start the first issue I had. The product was listed as new. It even says on the box that it is new. However, the package I received was unsealed and edges of the packaging were bent and frayed in such a way that it appeared the product had been previously used. After opening the package, things seemed to get better. Inside I found a charging cable, a pair of headphones, an instruction manual and a little carrying pouch. The player itself was in some sort of shrink wrap which easily came off and had two fingerprint guards on it.Player powered up quickly.Plus sides: it does, in fact, read a 128 GB MicroSD card. And while the screen is small for eBooks, it actually prints the text quite clearly, although obviously a 200 page book takes more like a thousand clicks because of the small screen size. But yes, in a pinch, you could use this as an eReader, though I would definitely recommend a Kindle or Nook or something along those lines before I would recommend this.Plus sides end there. The player does not automatically scan the MicroSD card when you insert it. I had to scroll through to find a way for it to import my songs into the library. And even more problematic, once songs are imported, you have to MANUALLY REFRESH your play list every time you restart the device. It does not remember the contents of the inserted card. You have to refresh it again. Your other option is to just use the file folder, which works well enough, but sort of defeats the purpose of being able to sort your music by artist/album/genre/etc.The included headphones (earbuds) are worthless. I've bought better headphones at the 99 Cent Store/Dollar Tree when I've needed a pair in a pinch for whatever reason. They come with multiple tips for comfort, but nothing is going to make them sound good. The EQ is iffy and there is no obvious way to alter the custom EQ, which is the one thing that might have saved this player for me.The player did not connect to my Sony Bluetooth Earbuds at all. It did connect to my bluetooth Beats Pill Plus speaker. However, the audio was distorted and bad even at low volumes regardless of how close or far from the speaker I put the device. Finally, I played the music over a pair of higher-quality JVC headphones that I own that I have had good experiences with on a SanDisk Clip, an Android phone, and a tablet in the past. No EQ setting could salvage the quality of the music. This player bills itself as a Hi Fidelity player that plays lossless formats including FLAC. It did not recognize a single FLAC file that I put on my MicroSD card when I tried to play them, even though the player appeared to accept them as audio files. How bad is this? I purchased an eMatic refurbished MP3 player for a friend about a month ago for $11. The quality of that device far surpasses what this delivered. Also, it says it has an audio recorder, but there does not appear to be a microphone build into the device and no obvious place to put one (unless maybe you're recording a memo through a head set?)The only way to change the volume is with the knob, which is a bit awkward.I can't really comment too much on the battery life because it only took about 45 minutes of playing around with this device for me to know I was going to return it. The battery didn't go dead in those 45 minutes and still had 3 out of 4 bars showing, so I guess battery life might be a positive for this player, but it was so bad to use otherwise that I don't know that it would matter.I realize that buying an off-brand portable audio player at this price point is a real hit-or-miss proposition, but honestly, for a similar price point, if your main focus is audio, just buy a Sansa Clip device. It might not be quite as expandable as this, but the audio quality is much better, it actually pairs to a Bluetooth earbud/headphone, and actually remembers what's on your MicroSD card.Online searches for Gueray did not make for any obvious points of contact, their website appears to be a half-finished WordPress page, and their Facebook page features a picture of what is apparently a "Cute Cat." It might be that with a proper firmware update that this little player would be a lot better. However, as-is, I cannot recommend it and for the first time in recent memory find that I am going to not exchange but return an item. I would rate this an absolute "DO NOT BUY." The product does not do what it says it does, and what it does do, it does not do well. When I'm singing the praises of an $11 refurbished eMatic device that goes for about $20 new and touting it as better than this...there's a problem.

Five star entry level music player!!!
My purchase decision was made based on all the positive reviews I read and I made the right decision. Right out the box it performed wonderfully. Sound quality is nice, the interface easy breezy, and the design is way cool! The designer did an excellent job bringing style to an entry level player. This player is easy to navigate and the price is right, the size is perfect, nice carrying pouch that comes with it. And I love the buttons and knob which is always nice to have on a portable music player. Get this player!! You will not be disappointed. Update: My music player still works absolutely fine, the battery is strong. I charged it and listen to music all day and it still had juice the next day. I've turned the player on and off with no problems at all. I think the other reviewer has a defective player because I have none of those issues with mine. I would advise you to just return it for a replacement. Because for this player there are more positive reviews than negative. This player is well built and you're getting a quality entry level music player for a great price! I'VE been listening to music on this player for days now and like I said no problems at all. So the positive outweigh the negative.
