The remote is very easy to use and it will work straight away once you insert brand new batteries.Bose remote control look similar, but they are't compatible with each other. Please double check your original remote before ordering it.If the remote isn’t working, try the following steps to fix your remote: 1. Please unplug the Bose from AC power, press and hold its power button for five seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. 2. Remove the batteries from the remote. Press every button on the remote at least one (1) time to drain any residual power. This also helps to check for stuck buttons. Re-insert the batteries back into the remote.

Just follow the instructions
I have one of the original series of Wave radios. A dog chewed up the original remote years ago and we have been using it manually ever since. I got curious the other day and searched for a replacement. Put a battery in and nothing happened -- thought I would have to return it. Looked at the site again and found some instructions suggesting to unplug the radio and hold down the power button for 5 seconds. And to remove the battery from the remote and push all of the buttons on it. Plugged the radio back in and replaced the battery in the remote. Voila! it works perfectly. I'd have rated it a 5 if the instructions for use/problem solving were in the packaging. I had to go back to the Amazon site to search for them.

Perfect! Connecting an inexpensive Roku TV (poor sound) with my Bose and now the sound has a remote
Just add the battery and you're set. Works perfectly. My Bose is probably 25 years old and sound is perfect for the new ROKU tv.

Good replacement remote for Bose radio.
This remote worked fine on my old Bose radio. However the battery CR 2030 that came with it was bad. So I had to replace the battery to make it work.In the description it did not mention that it came with a battery so I gave it a 4 star review.The remote does work well.

Works but limited range
The remote works well but it only works out to about 10 feet.

Only works occasionally
This product only works occasionally. I have to be right in front of the radio for it to switch channels, turn on or off etc.,which defeats the whole purpose of having a remote. Found my original remote, which is fifteen years old and it works beautifully.

Not great...
It works for what I needed it for but also you have to really push hard to make the buttons work and also seems to have a very limited range if the controller is too high or low.

Its a backup for my old remotes, and although a different brand almost identical to use.
