If you need it, you need it
It's a thick, gelatinous texture my cats don't like. I have to mash it up in water for them, but nothing wrong with a little more water, I guess.

Saved my cat's life, quite literally.
My 15 year old cat will not eat dry food, so this was the only wet food alternative. I saw an immediate positive change immediately. Bubba has been eating this for over a month now and it saved his life! He is not only healthy but happy, active and being silly again. Delivery was fast.A bit expensive but the alternative was Bubba dying so completely worth every penny.

definitely buy if your cat has dietary issues
My first thoughts with this food were not the best if I’m being honest. I was first thrown off by the overwhelming smell of soy and kind of gummy texture and of course the price is a little jarring. My kitty was prescribed this diet for pancreatitis and issues with throwing up/not being able to digest complex proteins. This food is totally worth it. My cat looks happier and healthier now that he throws up less. To get the most out of my money and to also ensure my kitty is still eating like the carnivore he is I split each can into 8ths and he gets 1/4 per day. Also because the texture is quite gummy I usually add some warm water and mash it up a bit for him. My other kitty luckily stays away from this diet food because the smell I think throws her off (she was a stray) so it’s nice when I’m feeding them that only one of them likes the smell/taste of the food.

Purchase with caution
Purchase this product from a company that offers returns. I opened a can of this wet food and it had a odd gelatin consistency. My cat wouldn't eat it.

My fussy feline likes this
Well made food. Initially cat didn’t like change in diet but eating it now. I cover unused portion and place it in refrigerator. Warm portions from fridge in microwave or by adding some hot water and stirring. (Test temperature of food before serving.)Using this with a cat that has allergies - yes cats get allergies too.Even my cats “littermate” likes this and sneaks some out of her bowl.

Highly palatable
Opera will not eat ANY canned food, believe me I've tried them all, she won't touch them... Except ZD. After the elderly kitty who had a prescription for it died, the vet let her have her own. Even though she's perfectly healthy 🙄 it's very palatable.

Only food my cat can eat. But so very expensive.
This and the dry food is all my cat can eat. Otherwise allergies and vomiting. It took him a while to acquire the taste but now he eats it up. I give him a small portion as a treat and the rest is the dry food.Basically this food saved his life. Thank you my vet and Purina.

Where does this vendor store the food? Cats dislike.
This item, as well as last 3 cartons of Cat ZD has inconsistent quality. The return window has closed...unlike Chewy. The price of almost $100 per case for "unregulated " food - not truly a prescription, is pure greed. I should be refunded $300, yet this vendor has NO CONTACT info. However, when ordered through the vendors of the vet office, the fresh date is a year difference, and the cats clean the plate...unlike from Amazon...they take a few bites day after day...and I toss the majority of each can.
