These pins were not what I expected. They are dull and wide.

These pins bends incredibly fast. The ball ends are not very large.

The orange one on the bottom of the picture is the one from this set. Other two pictured for comparison.The ball end was smaller then I expected so I was worried that they might be to flimsy but surprisingly they are just fine. The tiny ball might be hard to get use to and might make it hard to use.

They are not strong enough to be able to go through more then layer of fabric

I had too many pins that were not steel, and would not attract to magnets. When I spin the pins or when I want to make sure no pins are on the floor with my magnet on a stick, I am annoyed when pins are not steel, and unless the listing states that they are, they probably are not. I like the colored balls on the end because it makes them easy to see, but they are not so large as to be in the way when sewing something small, which is what I usually sew. Each color of pin is sorted into its own little box. I will not keep them sorted in that way, but if you were using them for map pins or something like that, it could be useful. I am glad to get ten little boxes, however, because I am always needing such boxes to sort tiny things that I do want sorted, such as beads. I've also used such boxes to make up seed samples and other nature displays for my grandchildren. So to me, the boxes are a free gift. I don't think these are the finest silk pins, but I did not expect them to be. I should order some of those for delicate fabrics, I guess. But for something no finer than swiss batiste, they are fine, and for quilting cottons, they are perfect.

I ordered 2 sets at the same for making Christmas ornaments, so consistency in color is somewhat important as it is a decor item. Was disappointed to find that their colors were not consistent between orders. Specifically with the orange and blue. One set was brighter, and the other more muted/darker.And again, I ordered them at the same time, it’s not like I reordered a year later and manufacturing had changed.So if you’re using these for something other than pinning while sewing, that will be displayed, and you want consistency, maybe order from another seller.

If you have to struggle to pierce the fabric they aren't good pins. They also bend easily

A good little bargain. Although I wanted the longer "quilting" pins, these will work fine. They are longer than the regular sewing pins, just not as long as the more heavy duty pins that I used before. Great price so no complaints.Update: I had to take away a star as when I was pinning a quilt the pins easily bent. Okay for sewing, quilting not so much.

They are very poor quality. Not sharp at all and snag!! Do not buy

Really poor quality. I used these pins for the first time and was dismayed to discover that the steel is not smooth on lots of them so it sticks and snags as it goes through the fabric Luckily I wasn't using silk. Not all the pins are as bad as each other...some colours seem a bit smoother, but you don't want to have to feel each pin before using!

Don't be swayed by the massive quantity offered, these are amongst the worst pins I have come across. They might handle one layer of thin material but any thicker, or two layers presents a problem. The pins are rough and snag the material, save your time and order something else.

Lovely selection of nice slim pins with different colour heads. Used some of them to pin very delicate material and there was no snagging and they worked well. Handy to have different colour heads for separate jobs.

Great size - they are thinner than my previous pins which makes them useful for delicate fabrics. They are extremely sharp. Love the colours and like the fact that each colour comes in it’s own little plastic storage box.
