I installed mine right next to the amp in the back floorboard of my truck. Isolator has 2 RCAs one each to your deck and amp. I installed mine backwards from the labeling because inputs to amp are female and RCAs from deck are male. Works great.

Got noise coming from your alternator or engine noise. Try a capacitor on your alternator output tied to your power line to ground. It doesn't cut the noise when the audio is playing

It doesn't cut the noise when the audio is Playing. I connected it even serially and checked but nothing works. It just cuts the noise when nothing is playing on the car stereo.
