This scale did just what i needed; helped me cut weight in my backpacking setup. Not very accurate in the low sub 1oz weights but thats not really what its designed for. Works close enough +/- an oz or 2 up well beyond what i would be carrying on my back.

I love to have it. To be certain the weight of the fish I catch, maybe even checking the weight of my gear I’m carrying. Value for the money is awesome. ! Easy to use and performs well. Very easy to read, fits in a little pocket in my tackle backpack and I have weighed two different objects and they were both on 11.4lbs ! So it’s accurate & easily portable !

In order for the data lock function to engage the object you are lifting must be perfectly still for many seconds. This is impossible on a live fish in a rocking boat, or if physically trying to lift a suitcase weighing close to 50 lbs. Because it will not record “peak weight” or have a quicker data lock function this scale effectively can only provide a very approximate weight. For the same reason (ineffective data lock) you must be able to see the screen while you are lifting the heavy object even to get a rough estimate (because the weight reading on the scale keeps fluctuating rapidly) of the object’s weight.

The weight does not stay saved on the screen and one person only cannot raise the luggage and see the weight. The hook also is very small and it can damage the luggage handle.
