This seemed to be a bit of an indulgence - screwing a Lilliput 7" field monitor into a Smallrig 11" magic arm is fiddly for either the top or bottom 1/4" threads, or using the bespoke Smallrig cheeseplate for the back of the Lilliput - fiddly, but not impossible. However this small and secure hawklock mount simplifies the process, and takes away some of the irritations of setting up when time is at a premium. As I am generally filming out and about and in peoples' homes, the 'marginal gain' using this quick release plate and lock is worthwhile.

I have a tripod, monopod, mini tripod, all with different base plates. So i bought this and 3 separate base plates. Now i can fit the camera to all of these with out having to keep changing base plates. Work's well with a mirrorless camera

I use this with my Ninja V with a large Sony battery. The mount itself is great. Size wise and easy of use.

I wanted a small QR coupling to attach a 16" monitor to a desk stand. The monitor has a standard 1/4" tripod thread for mounting and this coupling means I can easily take it off the stand (for use as a portable monitor when away from my main desk). No fuss, no pfaff. Simples, as a certain meerkat is known to say...

Good product, good quality and works well but slightly expensive for what it is

Product was great initially. Easy to install, great ease of use. Unfortunately after a month or so the connection started to loosen between the two halves and there doesn’t seem to be any way to adjust this. Now, after a couple of months use my monitor just rattles around terribly. It will be going in the bin.
