Seems solid and versatile
This is my first sword of any kind. I have no use for a "wall hanger" that is decorative but not usable. Not that I anticipate having to use a sword for anything besides occasionally chopping veggies in the back yard for fun. But it's reassuring to know that if by some extremely unlikely event that there would be a defensive need calling for the use of a sword, this one would be up to the task.It has a good heft to it without being unwieldly, and I don't doubt that it could be used effectively with one hand or with two. It doesn't have the reach of a katana, but that's a good thing in close quarters and the somewhat lighter weight makes it more practical if on a long trek - such as backpacking. I am a little unsure how one is supposed to wear this - belt? Pack? Sling? I haven't figured that out yet. It seems plenty sharp right out of the box.Happy with the purchase so far, can't wait to try it out.

A cut above the rest
Out of the box I find that your product performs well. I have a classical Katana Historically, katana were one of the traditionally made Japanese swords that were used in feudal Japan, also commonly referred to as a "samurai sword". Modern versions of the katana are sometimes made using non-traditional materials and methods. Your product cuts well within standers however it is longer than it should be, let me explain. The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. It has historically been associated with the samurai of feudal Japan. The Samurai or Retainer would often have a katana blade cut to length so that a classic cut like (from left shoulder through to the right hip of and opponent) would not hit the ground. The Wakizashi was made to be half the length of the katana, and never left the Samurai’s site. The Samurai if he lost (Face) or had dishonored his lord the Samurai would commit suicide by cutting his belly open with his own Wakizashi. In battle the Wakizashi was used to cut the heads off of the fallen enemy. In his house or inside the Wakizashi was use to enforce his well and to defend his house. This product is well made but will need good maintenance, oiling the blade and a frequent lapping of the cutting edge.

I found no issues with it and I am well pleased at both the appearance and the construction
Having read the other reviews, it was as I expected. I have yet to take off the scales but, judging from the thickness of the tang compared to the thickness of the blade, it is not full tang. The sword came well packed, in a black carry bag. I found the outer box, the shipping box not well done, but I guess it traveled a long bit to get to me. The sword, when pulled from the scabbard was covered in scrap from the scabbard. That meant the blade was oiled but also means the scabbard was not cleaned after manufacture. The sword was tight in the scabbard requiring a hard pull to discharge it.As for the sword itself, I found no issues with it and I am well pleased at both the appearance and the construction. Altho9ugh sharp, to me it is not razor sharp.

Got this for a friend.
It looked awesome online, but then, it arrived. The cord around the handle is the CHEAPEST paracord I've seen in a while, and it was undone, and unraveling off the handle right out of the box.The blade is sharp as can be, but if you glance off an object, and hit anything on the side of the blade, it bends very easy.

Less than what I expected.
I received this item much sooner than I expected it. out of the box it was sharp but after an hour of work it was even sharper. The point of balance is 1.5" to 2" from the tsuba or hand-guard on the blade. the primary node is about 4" +/- 1" from the blade tip. that means that you get the most energy striking your target at that point. It is mad from 1060 carbon steel so every time you use it or touch the blade you should wipe the blade with a dry cloth and coat it with a rust inhibitor. I use mineral oil,it's cheap, not to thick or too thin and it works. the reason why I give it 3 stars is because the blade has very little spring in it and will keep a bend in it if the blade is bent just a bit. For the price it is an OK sward and would work well in a zombie Apocalypse but it's blade quality is lacking. If I could have a second chance at buying a Wakizashi I would spend the extra $50 to $75 for one with a 9260 spring steel blade.

cheap craftsmanship
This is a $30 item that's being sold for $100. The craftsmanship is poor. The blade catches in the saya. The saya is made of cheap plastic with a wooden lining. The handle material was billed as being high quality. It is not. There is a rough finish around the mold seams from the low quality plastic. The blade had a bad grind job done at the tip causing the edge to fold over. Returning it immediately. I'll go with a different manufacturer.

Beautiful and practical.
Loved the craftmanship of the blade , and just about everything. The sheathe is rather weak....Very much so, so don't use it as a weapon or put it through any level of duress. It's made to look good and that is all.The blade is a tad more forgiving but don't hit it over anything that will not give. It will chip.I give it five because for what it is meant for, it does a great job. If you try to beat it on hard objects and think you are Kenshin, you will piss away three figures, genius

Tactical Wakizashi
Kitchen Table Review - ok, I have to admit to being what I like to call a knife collector,, but - more of an accumulator. This is a Fun Blade. I have some Cas Hanwei and Cold Steel Katanas and Wakizashi blades. The blade is well shaped, the handle material grips well, the brass guards and fittings add a touch of color. this is a blade I can step outside and use. Swings well. the sheath seems to be holding up ok. Have not done any major cutting,, just playing with it so far. but it is kind of fun to play with.
