The warmer is decent, keeps your coffee warm, not hot, which is better than it sitting and getting cold before you can finish the cup.The cup is smaller than described (the one I received was 12 oz and was supposed to be 14oz). You can use any regular coffee mug. I didn’t realize you could just buy the warmer alone. I ended up returning the cup&warmer and purchasing the warmer which was $17 as compared to $34!!

The warmer is excellent except there is no way to adjust the temperature, it’s either on or off. The easy adjustment is simply take the mug off the warmer for a few minutes until it cools off a little Glad we got it.

I was looking forward to getting this and I am please that my coffee stays warm. Assuming the cup it comes with is slightly more than halfway fullHowever1. If ANY part of your cup is metal, it will get scorching HOT and you are in for a BURN. I have a popular brand of insulated mug; the (flat) bottom is stainless steel - it has a metal “core” as do MANY insulated and travel cups. Reaching for it, I ended up with a painful blistered burned hand. I imagine that many users of a coffee warmer would also have travel cups that are partly or mostly steel with insulating bands. WATCH OUT! Your travel cup is not suitable for this.2. How long the warmer stays hot Is VERY VARIABLE. Sometimes it turns off when there is not enough weight or after some period of time. BUT, sometimes it doesn’t turn off! Last night, in the evening, HOURS after morning coffee & cup were removed, I accidentally touched it…and to was blazing HOT. Got a potholder to move it. So, Be VERY CAREFUL - it acts like a temperamental hot plate. On the other hand, I can make HOT cocoa from slightly warmed milk…All that said, I like it. - but I think it really needs a a couple warnings. Mine has almost boiled milk (!) & the plate really gets hot. I like that it has no switched, etc. and it may be that my unit is defective…? Also, if anything spills on it - some coffee drips - it is impossible to clean, the drip burns in. I unplugged it and tried to wipe off with cool water- no luck. I don’t know what non-abrasive cleaner I can use.

I liked that the white cup and warmer looked as nice as I expected out of the box. The handle on the cup is very comfortable for me. It took me a few tries to discover that you need to tap or press the cup down to get the warmer to turn on when the coffee amount lowered in the cup. It was as easy as a toggle switch. I wish I would have noticed before ordering that the cord does not detach from warmer which would make it a bit more versatile in placing it in different locations throughout the house when needed. I will however be returning the coffee warmer because it does not heat the coffee to a temperature that I prefer. The information provided by Amazon and the instructions in the box says the warmer heats to 131 Fahrenheit and I would like it a little warmer. Although I don’t expect it to heat as hot as a Starbucks brewed cup of 200 Fahrenheit, I would like it a bit warmer for my preference.
