Wholesome Pride Sweet Potato Fries All-Natural Single Ingredient Dog Treats, 16 oz

My dog loved these! If I give her a bully stick or tendon at the same time she will eat her veggies first! Not smushy or rock hard. Just right! I got a different brand once and my dog wouldn’t eat them. This is the best tasting one for her that gives her the fiber she needs in an easy and tasty way. It’s a great price and way easier than trying to dehydrate my own. Doesn’t smell bad and only has ONE ingredient. I have it as a Subscribe and Save since she loves them so much. Under her leg is a 6 inch bully stick she just ignored until she finished her veggies.

I decided these were a bit hard for my little dogs as these sweet potato treats are dried. I put a few of them in a small jar of water a lid and refrigerate them to soften them. Just about 4 and give to my two dogs as a special treat. These are healthy treats for a dog’s digestion. Fair price and good quality. Plus, no other ingredients except sweet potatoes and they are a nice bit size! Produced and packaged in the USA!

I started buying these big chews often because my growing Rottie loves them! Sadly the quality of this brand has declined over the past 3 bags I’ve purchased. First, they sent me the wrong size bag of small bites awhile back and I had to jump thru hoops to get it replaced but they had to replace them since I paid for the 1 lb bag of larger chews. They let me keep the bites though and they were small and rock hard. I couldn’t give those to my dog, he’d choke! The replacement bag they sent arrived damp and moldy so I had to throw it out and now the bag I received today are rock hard, and overly dried out pieces (picture above). My dog won’t even eat them… And he eats everything!! Since they’re non returnable or refundable, I know I’m taking a gamble whenever I buy them on whether they’ll be really good or inedible. Lately they’ve been inedible. =\ And the disclaimer they put on their description stating the texture may vary is irrelevant because a little harder is understandable, ROCK hard chews are not!! So now I’ve ordered another brand- Caledon Farms here on Amazon and I can only hope that they are fresh and high quality!! It really sucks to have to spend so much money just to find good, natural treats tho! I’m out $14 again on a bag I have to throw away! The things we do for our pups!

Love these. I had been getting a different brand of sweet potato “fries” but got fed up with the poor quality of skins, bits and pieces of crap. But these are high quality, plus you can cut them with kitchen scissors if you don’t want to give your pup a large piece.

I have been purchasing this product for the past 6 to 9 months and have found the product to be very high-quality in that it is a single ingredient, however the consistency is quite poor. This dog treat is VERY expensive (for the amount of product given) and the company should aim to provide as much consistency as possible. Some bags have whole, thick slices of dehydrated sweet potato and others contain shriveled up, rolled, sharp, very thinly sliced pieces. Yet other bags have had cross cut pieces of what were obviously whole slices of sweet potato, cut into at least four pieces. I have a giant breed dog and the thick, whole slices are ideal. It is what is featured in the advertising of the product and yet this is not the product that is received even 50% of the time. I just got off the phone with customer service representative, Hannah, and though she was kind, I did not feel as if she was really taking my complaint all that seriously. She kept trying to tell me that they cannot guarantee consistency because the size of the sweet potato coming in from the farmers will vary in size, depending upon the season. I told her that I appreciated that and understood that they could not regulate this given that it was a natural product, however she could not answer why some pieces were sliced extremely thinly, such that they roll up into sharp little straw-like pieces. She also could not answer or offer any commentary on the thickly sliced, large pieces that have obviously been cross cut into at least four smaller pieces. She stated that that’s not something that they do and she inquired as to whether not I was buying another one of their products and I assured her that I was not buying anything other than the sweet potato dog treat chews. She kept saying that sometimes they will break into pieces but I assured her that many times I was receiving a bag of sliced, dehydrated sweet potatoes that had obviously been cross- cut with a straight edge. She didn’t indicate that they were going to investigate. She didn’t ask me to mail a bag back to them. She didn’t ask me to take a photo and send it to them she didn’t seem interested in resolving the situation any further than making notes and taking it back to the powers that be. That much is appreciated, however I was very dissatisfied with the phone call. I would love for her to have indicated that she would investigate as to why Cros cut pieces are being sent out into customers homes. I also offered the suggestion that they more thickly slice the smaller sweet potatoes that they get, so that they don’t roll into sharp objects. I will purchase a couple more bags and if the cross-cut pieces continue, I’m going to buy a dehydrator and start making my own. I would prefer to buy their product given the high-quality, but the consistency is just so variable that many times we end up throwing away the tiny pieces that are a choking hazard. Absolutely great for dogs who are chewers and want a healthy tasty treat for their pet. Looks just like sweet potatoes you would cut in your own kitchen. They are hardy to chew and have a toughness to them. Over all they were easy to use and a steal in price!

My dog loves sweet potatoes and if I don’t make her one special to go with her meal, I like having a natural type of a treat option for her with pure and safe for dog ingredients. The fewer the ingredients the better. So I gave this 3 stars. Although it’s pure sweet potato, my dog is under 20 pounds, so with having these bite-size pieces, I need to remind her to take her time eating the treat because initially, the treat is very very hard, yet thankfully softens over time when chewed. She can often be an “inhaler” when it comes to food, and it totally misses her teeth, and I definitely don’t want her to be in a situation where the treat, or even part of it, gets stuck in her throat. I apologize for the low score because for the most part, it’s a pretty decent pure ingredient item, It’s just not the best selection for “my dog” and as a whole, I won’t buy this particular sized treat with as much density in the future.

My 10 lb. Small dog loves these bite sized treats! Treats are almost all dried sweet potatoes that she easily digests and loves.
