I was suspicious about this going in, but I used it today, and there was a definite difference in the taste of my tap water. My only complaint is that when I ordered this, all of the pictures and descriptions gave every indication that I would be receiving three. In fact, a day after I received mine, the description was updated to indicate that there is only one in the package. It's fine in the grand scheme of things, but I do feel like I was initially mislead. Still the product works, so I can't complain too much.

I ordered this product for an individual who drinks water religiously. Unknown to me at the time of my order, the individual was looking for something like this product that was unflavored. I have it on the good authority of an RN that the product works. I can't speak to longevity as advertised because the product was only received a couple of days ago. However, there is no reason not to believe that it will service the 29 gallons as advertised.

I live in a community that has a very natural environment. We all have wells and some of us are purists if you know what that means. I took some pictures that shows some of the highlights that I thought was important. Mine did not come in a pouch, just the filter in a box. My photos submitted included a view of the product that I received, the user instructions, and the life expectancy of the filter. This will probably sit in a glass of water in the refrigerator because I plan on using it every day. With the ability to treat 26 gallons or 416 cups it looks like on a 52 day cycle. If you’re not using it, you can store it up to a year. One of the nicest things I like about this is that once the life expectancy has expired, you can just send it to your local number five recycle location. Very useful product for a peace of mind.

This filter comes with some maintenance. There's first time use instructions: soak for 1 minute, empty the water, soak again for 3-5 minutes, then drink your water as normal. When not in use, store in a bag in the refrigerator. If you're re-using the filter again within 2 days, you simply set it in your water for 3-5 minutes, and your water's good to go; if it's been more than two days, you have to repeat the steps you did to start using it. That being said, I actually do taste a difference in the water. I use tap water (city water) and when I use this filter, the water tastes softer somehow, smoother and like a fancy bottled water. I really like it.

The media could not be loaded.  I love water, and try to drink 72 oz a day. I ordered this filter since it raised the alkaline level, and added minerals to my water. It’s also super easy to use. For the first use, soak it in a cup of water for a minute, discard that water and add new water, wait another 3 minutes, and drink. Afterwards I refill the water bottle and put it in the fridge for the next day. I notice a slight mineral taste, my husband said he can’t notice any taste difference. There’s supposed to be a detox effect, and I have noticed I have better digestion and less stomach issues these past few days, so I think it’s doing the job.

I can say that I see the water stick bubbling on occasion but can not confirm if it is truly making the water more alkaline.
