Once you manage to get everything all plugged in and running (I had to buy a memory unit for £30! too) you discover there are only saves for 17 games!So much for allowing you access to hundreds of games - 17 is all you get.And four of them are DLC for rock band - who want to cheat at Rock Band!?However if you wish to mess around with your memory card for other (not recommended) reasons which may result in getting your Xbox live account suspended then that's up to you. This would probably be the cheapest option.

its ok for transferring game saves onto pc for modding but discovered i dont need this since i can do it via usb

When I bought this it came with no High speed USB 2.0 Transfer Cable for it, so i can't connect my Xbox to my PC. I don't know where I can get one, and I don't really want to buy one
