This doorknob is incredible!
This is a Grade 1 lock, for a price point that's pretty good. As soon as you open the package, you are struck by how heavy and rock solid it is. If you've ever handled a 'standard residential' doorknob, you'll not even recognize this thing. It's Massive! Plus, everything is adjustable, the key cylinder is pretty decent, and the strike plate is both huge, and looks like it could be used as armor plating.On the inside, the button is tamper resistant against 'around the door' manipulation, and if you twist it one way, the outer knob stays locked as you exit, and if you twist it a different way, the entire knob unlocks as you exit. Super nice to have these functions so that you get to pick how much security you want against around the door attacks!Now, the fit and finish are 'acceptable', not amazing, so there's some less that perfect bits here and there, but given that this knob seems as heavy and durable as a tank, I'm willing to let it develop some patina of its own. A quick squirt with some graphite and it was working butter smooth after a few dozen cycles.Excellent value!
