Useful. Pay As You Go, can carry over unused credit each month, O2 pay you extra credit if you top up regularly on a monthly basis.Able to make phone calls to the UK when travelling, without having to mess about with settings.Another phone provider, in a main phone, was useless, unable to make phone calls, unless using wi fi.I recommend this O2 sim card.

Bought this with Wi-Fi dongle when I was in between broadband deals and needed to be online 24/7 - those YouTube feeds for kids doesn’t know when to stop you know lol!Product arrived quick and came with useful guide to activate. After doing that, online in no time, download speed nearly as advertised but I guess that depends on coverage. Main thing was it is reliable.Used it all day and didn’t seem to drop or lag nor did I notice throttle which some people mentioned.Unlimited part I can’t tell because I guess I didn’t reach allowance limit but I’m sure it would have been fine.Seller aftercare was what made this purchase extra special - they informed me when the sim was near expire and offered me to renew should I wanted to. Great service till the end!And I should add that we have four devices (two phones and two tablets) connected and the speed easily equals what we have at home using our Plusnet modem. Brilliant!

Ease to use if you top up in a emergency at the shop..

Before you buy, check this is what you want. I wanted a simple pay as you go sim, which this isn't. The other reviews imply that that is the case, but as of Nov 2019 O2 stopped the simple payg tariff. This sim allows you to add a minimum £5 bundle per month (for talk mins and texts) but does require you do this every month. Admittedly it doesn't have a contract and you 'pay as you go' ie you put money in your 02 account and it renews the bundle every month as long as there is enough money in the account. I bought this for my Dad, to use as a back-up phone, so didn't want to have to pay a monthly fee (albeit £5) and only pay for calls as and when he made them. This sim, does not have that option. I have given only one star, which might be unfair, as it does as it probably should, but the heading does say 'simple pay as you go' which it is not. Annoyingly I only found this out after I put £20 in the account and as soon as I made a call it told me I only had £15 left! ie £20 minus the months £5 bundle, which it will renew each month. I was expecting £20 to last at least a year based on the anticipated calls, but it will be all used in 4 months whether a call is made or not.

Initially I had a problem topping up on this SIM card using the O2 app. I found out that I had to register it to my O2 account and then there was no problem topping up it was very easy. It fitted my Sony android phone which I keep as a extra phone in an emergency.
