Thank You Prayer (Caroline Jayne Church)

I love this book. Great to read to an infant . I bought this book 11 years ago for my 1st granddaughter and read it to her every night. I just bought it again for my new granddaughter I will read it to her .

This is a lovely book for young children. . . It simply thanks God for our everyday blessings. The short, simple sentences are perfect for young children, and the pictures are very nice.Before giving the book to my granddaughter, I showed it to my son, since he doesn't attend a church & doesn't have much use for religion. So I had to get his approval before giving it to my granddaughter. I held my breath, and he finished the book saying, "That's really nice, Mom". The book makes no reference to religious figures & simply thanks God for our many blessings, so would be perfect for anyone of any religion (or none).My grandkids love the book & I recommend it highly . . . You'll love it yourself!

The cuttest book for all ages. My preschool class "read it" every day. They took turns. It has an easy, engaging, meaningful content and beautiful pictures!. I bought one to each of my students so they can have it as a memory.

Wonderful book for little ones just learning to pray! It's an easy read each night and is a great way of getting kids in the habit of praying each night.We used this with our own kids and now give it for baptisms! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for this sort of book!

Our 2 year old daughter asks for this book nearly every night, and after we put her to sleep we hear her reciting it to herself. The pictures are cute, and the story "prayer" is even cuter:"Thank you for the food we eat. Thank you for the world so sweet. Thank you for the birds that sing. Thank you God for everything, Thank you for my family, Thank you God for loving me, For each and every child I pray, and thank you for this special day."Short but very sweet - nice quality padded cover.

I have been reading this to my 22 month old since infancy. He loves it! It is very nicely written and the illustrations are great and my son loves pointing at the pictures and identifying so it turns out to be educational as well. We actually ended up buying a second one because it got ripped from so much use. It is now committed to memory and that is the prayer that his dad and I say to him as we put him in his crib at night.

Have had 5 children and its always a favorite. We buy this book time and time again for a gift. All of Caroline Jayne Church's books are great!
