It is a mat.It protects your work surface from oils and scratches.It has an exploded view of a gun on it.Hundreds of other items could serve the same purpose just as well as this does. But... if you want to have a dedicated gun cleaning mat, this is a good one.

Good quality
This was larger than my first generation tekmat and appears to be well-made. It has stitching all around the border and a nicely illustrated parts break down. 5/5 would buy again.

Premium mat.
You want a high quality cleaning mat? Get this one. I've got two, one I use when cleaning my gats and one which is under my laptop as a desk protector and mouse pad when needed.

Quality gun cleaning mat
Nice size for a gun mat. Plenty of room to lay out the parts for a 1911. I really like the individual parts labeling, it helps in the disassembly/reassembly process. Only years of use will determine how the mat material holds up, but so far I see no damage. Even the printing isn’t showing any wear from guncleaning solvents or lubrication oils and grease. I hope they build others for more models of handguns, especially Glock.

I use it for my glocks, 1911s even my S&Ws... easy to clean up seems to be reasonably rugged for the use as intended. Now I think I'm going to get one for a rifle and I will stick with this brand because it's reliable...
