It's squared. That's weird.
I'm on a low carb/sugar diet. We were going camping and planned to roast marshmallows, which I love. However, given my diet restrictions I wasn't sure I could partake. I began my search to see if a sugar free marshmallow even existed, and if it did.....what would it taste like? I found these and gave them a go. First off, the package is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Second, I open the bag and the marshmallows are a decent size, but square. Not an issue....just an observation. The texture is a little more rough than a fluffy sugary real marshmallow. 3rd, I eat one and it tastes just fine. Pretty similar to the real thing. 4th, the roasting. It didn't roast quite as well as a regular marshmallow. It never really caught on fire like a regular marshmallow would. It would instead catch a flame but very soon burn out. So I just got it as warm as I could and popped it in my mouth. For diet restrictions, this is a good substitute.

NOT KETO FRIENDLY OR SUGAR FREE FRIENDLY FOR DIABETICS!!! BEWARE!!
I purchased these to use on top of my Keto Sweet "potatoes" for this coming Thanksgiving (NO potatoes used... mine are 100% keto-friendly with 100% cauliflower and a little 100% no sugar added organic pumpkin puree used as the sweet "potatoes" and are better than the real thing!). As the ad shows NO ingredients listed I took a chance and trusted they were sugar-free, BUT they are NOT!! They have Maltitol in them!! Let me explain... Sugar has a Glycemic index of 60 and Maltitol Glycemic index of 52!! Maltitol is a sugar alcohol and SOME sugar alcohols are fine for Keto, but NOT this one!! Like sugar, maltitol is a carbohydrate that contains calories. The body does not absorb all the calories in maltitol, but it still provides about 2 to 3 calories per gram, compared to four calories per gram of cane sugar. Since Maltitol is a carbohydrate and has calories, it also affects blood glucose! Maltitol syrup has a glycemic index of 52, which approaches that of table cane sugar at 60. The glycemic index is a measure of the effects of food on raising your blood glucose level. Even the powdered form has a glycemic index of 35, which is still higher than most other sugar alcohols and higher than all artificial sweeteners. That being said, it could/will throw you out of ketosis if you are on Keto and if you are a diabetic... it is going to raise your blood sugar!! Beware!! They are also in a SUPER small package for the money and the use of Maltitol... it's NOT worth it! I can't return these so I will donate them to a food pantry but I'm not going to consume these! And a side note... a WARNING for Isomalt, DO NOT exceed the recommended serving size. It's literally a laxative!! The package has so many different languages on it that it makes it so hard to read!!!

These marshmallows are SO good. I eat strictly keto
These marshmallows are SO good. I eat strictly keto, but when my family decided to go camping, I knew I had to have marshmallows to roast over the fire! These do have a different shape and color than the marshmallows you're used to, but the flavor is spot on. They roast up beautifully and are delicious! The price point is a bit off-putting, since a bag of regular marshmallows can be bought for around $1, but considering one serving of regular marshmallows is 150% of the carbs those of us on keto can have in a day, it's well worth it.

Wonderful! - But know what you are getting
These are so delicious to me and I just wish they weren't so expensive. These are one of my favorite little sugar free treats I like to indulge in every so often. As a warning to most people who are expecting to use these marshmallows like you would regular marshmallows, don't. These are special! This is not for people just wanting to do a few sugar free items that are used to high sugary products. If you are diabetic and/or totally sugar free and you haven't had marshmallows in years, these are going to be fabulous and only a few is all you need to get your fix without destroying your health goals! And you also don't want to eat the whole package because they could give you the runs. You only want to have a few at a time.

Pretty Darned Good Substitute!
I was recently diagnosed as diabetic. That cuts out a whole lot of foods from my diet, and sent my husband on a search for alternatives. I love "Watergate Salad" - now made with sugar-free Jell-o Pistachio pudding mix, crushed pineapple, sugar free Cool-Whip, and these marshmallows. I cut them into quarters to closer mimic mini-marshmallows, it all got mixed together, and it was GOOD!Like almost all food for diabetes, portion control is important, so I can't eat a lot at one time, and it's not really a "low glycemic" food. But it is something sweet that satisfies, & I am happy with that.I don't think I'd want to snack on these out of the bag, but I am SO glad they exist, and are very palatable. Yay!

Marshmallow Heaven
I have missed marshmallows. These really scratch that itch. Too bad they cost so much more than 'regular' marshmallows, but these sugar-free beauties have the same 'Jet-Puffed' consistency and flavor, without the blood sugar spike! Fantastic with some sugar-free milk chocolate (e.g. Choc Zero 'sinfully healthy' bars ChocZero Premium Milk Chocolate, 45% Cocoa, No Sugar Added, Low Carb. No Sugar Alcohol, All Natural, Non-GMO - (3 Bags, 30 Pieces)). Keep the marshmallows in a small, tightly sealed container (e.g. ziplock or better) so they don't get sticky.

Must Buy!
If I didn't know any better I would say this is the read deal! I follow a ketogenic diet and i have missed marshmallows. These have filled that void! Thank you!

chemical flavor with toasting
Got these so a diabetic friend could join in the marshmallow roasting fun on a camping trip. They're a bit softer than regular marshmallows and they melt more like plastic than like sugar... I guess because they have no sugar. I thought the raw flavor was fine (though not quite like regular Jet Puff), but toasted they tasted/smelled a bit plasticy/chemical. My diabetic friend who hasn't had anything super sweet in a long time liked them though - even roasted - and ended up having 2 or 3. They're very expensive (there's only like 7 or 8 marshmallows in the bag), but I think this is the only company that makes them, so I guess I'd get them again if I had a non-sugar eater who still wanted marshmallows. Wouldn't buy them for myself though.
