Must have
I do love all things Tarte. And this is no exception. The color goes on smooth, flawless, especially with the Tarte foundation brush (love). It is buildable if you like. I tend to have reddened areas on my face and this covers those areas beautifully without caking or feeling mask like. Would recommend for sure.

Worth the money!
I love this foundation, I do not have great skin and this make up really makes it look like I do and it truly lasts all day. It’s worth it and you do not need much per application so it lasts a long time!

True matte, full coverage.
Tart foundation is true matte, full coverage. Blends easily. However it is not light weight or completely transfer proof.

A little goes a long way. Full coverage. Great for aging skin. Love it.

Medium Beige is great for light olives with a neutral/cool undertone
So far, so good. I’m a neutralOlive and a licensed MUA, and I’m impressed. If you have a green-gray undertone like me 👻 🧛🏻♀️, this will probably do well for you.It IS a bit thicker, it’s full coverage. If you’re getting sunspots (yay me too), this will cover them as well as anything else I’ve used, including RCMA.I always put moisturizer or a serum under it first and let that dry. Or you can use a setting spray to achieve a more dewy effect. I love the Physicand Formula or ELF ones. This will keep the coverage but keep it from looking cakey.Shine on, 🫒!

Too thick and super dry
Multiple articles touted this as the best… ehhh, I beg to differ. I’ll start by saying I love the Erborian baby skin bb but I was looking for something with a bit more coverage. I should have known better than to choose this one as it doesn’t even have spf (dumb, I know) but I chose it because of the articles and after reading a ton of the reviews. I disagree strongly with most of the positive reviews on here. This is where we part ways…1. It is NOT lightweight. It is very thick, even when blended, and if anyone is within 12 inches of your face they are going to know you have makeup caked on. I, personally, like a natural look that makes it seem like I’m not wearing any makeup.2. It completely dried out my skin and made it feel very tight. The skin was even a bit flakey around my eyes and mouth. My skin is normally not dry or oily and I always moisturize before adding anything else to my skin so the dryness was frustrating. The dryness also accentuated the “caked” appearance.3. It is way too light. Obviously that is my fault for choosing the wrong shade but I am very fair, with pink undertones. All of the slightly darker shades noted cool or olive undertones and the next shade that noted pink or peach undertones was a medium shade. That seems weird to me. I thought that one of the perks of this product was the vast array of shades, something Erborian lacks. If not for issues 1 & 2, listed above, I would buy an additional shade and mix them to get where I need to be. Unfortunately, I hate the way this stuff feels on my skin (like pasty chalk).4. Why in the world does any cosmetic company make a foundation/bb/cc product that doesn’t have spf? That’s just bizarre.Anywhooo, I’ll continue to blend my Erborian Claire baby skin bb with a little dot of of my e.l.f liquid blush to get the right shade of coverage, which doesn’t feel or look like I’m wearing anything at all and doesn’t dry me out. Final verdict… overrated and NOT for anyone with even remotely dry skin.
