This stuff is STICKY. Holy cow.
Wow. I have never used an adhesive tape this sticky. It works VERY well on the seams of my old camper. No leaks since I installed this and a roof coating. Im giving this stuff 5 stars because it helped me finish off the roof of a 40 year old beater camper. Here's the quick rundown:Adhesion -- incredibly strong. Tightly grips anything it touches.Moldability -- Very flexible. No problems here.Ease of use -- Good. The plastic that comes attached to the sticky side of the tape is hard to remove, but comes off in one piece easily when started. Also, as it should be: This tape is difficult to cut.Other: If you choose to buy this stuff, do NOT try and use long strips of it at one time unless you have help. I ruined about 40 feet of a roll by cutting strips that were too long. When I removed the plastic from the adhesive side, any part of the tape that curled up or touched a bit of the adhesive was instantly and permanently stuck for good.Still give it 5 stars for the fact that my dumpy old camper is dry. :)

Perfect Solution
I am a fulltime TT resident. I noticed a crack in the roofing membrane over one of the slides, right at the edge. I cleaned the area with soap and water, rinsed it well, then kept it covered until repair tape arrived. I then cleaned the entire area with denatured alcohol as was recommended. I measured and cut the length I would need, peeled the protective plastic off the adhesive side on one edge the entire length and gently placed it along a metal bracket running from the trailer to the far edge of the slide. Once it was straight, and pressed securely in place, I removed the protective plastic off the rest of the adhesive side, and pressed it up and over the roof edge, then took a hand roller used for flooring and pressed it firmly all over onto the existing roof. It states it will not stick to silicone, so I avoided the areas the appeared to possibly have some. Hardest part for this 68 year old widow was going up and down the ladder. Cleaning the area and applying the product was easy, and I don't have to replace the entire roof of the slide due to that crack. Happy Camper!

Just as good as other brand-name sealant tapes
But this because it was over $20 cheaper than eternabond. Got news for you folks: its the exact samw chemical compound and material, and works just like the brand-name does. Its very pliable and easy to use. The biggest key to success is to ensure your surface is prepared and clean well. I used both mineral spirits and acetone to remove old sealant, then gave a final wipe with 91% isopropyl alcohol for a final clean. Lay it flat, and ensure you go slow because once its down, its going to be a long time before it comes back up. Apply a good deal or firm pressure to activate and adhere, and you now have a nice water tight seal. I used this on a few seams and so far its working good. Plus it saved some cash. Id recommend it.Update 2020 - still holding strong! The "gutter" side trim (which is technically a rail to hold the top of the awning in palce and hise the overlap of the roof membrane) was sealed up with dicor but there was some water seepage due to its age. I removed the dicor, removed, cleaned, and resealed the rail with OSI Quad sealant and butyl tape, and then used this repair tape to permanently seal over the gap. It was a bit of work, but the good this is ill never have any water intrusion again. The tape i ised to seal over a vent cover and the width-wise seam is still holding with no signs of wear, lifting, or damage. I have to say that ill be buying another roll of this product mostly because its much less in cost versus eternabond, but it also works better than the crappy lap sealant the RV companies recommend, of course they dont want you to use this stuff, because it prevents them from selling more crappy dicor every few years.

Tape Works Great, But There are Some Hints Here.
This tape works great and does the job well. I prefer it to caulking the seams. I have had my tool trailer for work for 15 years and most of the caulking for the seams on the roof has simply dried out and gone away. I decided to try this tape. As I am a home improvement contractor I am not stranger to peel and stick membranes. Here are my tips and tricks to make your taping job go smoother.- Have the trailer in the shade and don't let the roll of tape sit in the sun either. It is much easier to work with when the tape and the roof are cool.- Don't skimp on the preparation work. I spent about 2 hours getting the roof ready. 1-Scrape the old caulking away, 2-Use a wire wheel to clean all the areas the tape will be applied. 2-Wipe down with alcohol.- Don't be in a hurry to remove the backing. Just remove what you need to get is started. The backing on this tape is good in that it can be folded back and pulled out without tearing. This means you can get the line of tape started with just a little pulled out, lay the tape down right where you want it and pull the back out from under. Much easier to work with this way.- Buy a roller to press the tape down. This is much easier that using your hand.- Keep you leaf blower handy so you can blow the dust off the roof. You still need to wipe it down with the alcohol though. Some dust is still left behind even after blowing it off.I am not sure about the longevity of the tape, as I just installed it, but it is super sticky stuff once the sun hits it. The sun caught me for the last couple strips and it was much more difficult to work with. Once it is down you cannot peel it back up.Hope this helps in your project.
